Tailwind CSS is a "utility-first" CSS framework that provides a deep catalog of CSS classes and tools that lets you easily get started styling your website or application. The underlying goal is that as you're building your project, you don't need to deal with cascading styles and worrying about how to override that 10-selector pileup that's been haunting your app for the last 2 years.

As an old web "veteran", coming up as everyone was figuring out how to make the web, I was turned off by the @tailwindcss way of using so many CSS classes. But over the past ~2 years it's become an absolutely indispensable part of the way I build. Absolutely love it.

If you're starting to learn HTML and CSS again, it would be like this: 1. HTML 2. Basics of CSS (selectors) 2. Box model, positioning 3. Responsive web design 4. Media queries 5: Flexbox 6: Bootstrap/TailwindCSS 7: Build a tiny project after every step Next: JavaScript

✨ @tailwindcss quick tip ✨ ➡️ Center container by default If you use the .container class a lot you might find yourself adding something .mx-auto and .px-4 all the time 🤔 Instead use your tailwind config, to set a default padding and center it🚀 https://t.co/hWWU4cFb8e https://t.co/fGVHMbyPNy
